Even if you do everything right, your dishcloths might not stay clean much longer. It might be necessary to wash them. This quick and easy process takes only ten to fifteen minutes.

Pour about half a gallon of water into the pot. Add 1 – 2 tsp of Dawn dish soap and 1/2 cup vinegar. Fill a large bowl with water and add 2 – 3 rags. Bring to a boil, occasionally stirring, for 15 minutes.

Once the rags have been drained, lay them flat in the sun to cool if possible. Next, wash them in your washing machine – make sure to use hot water. When you’re done, they should be as good as new!

You can use either line dry in the sun or dry on high heat in the dryer after running the wash cycle. The result is impressive! In addition to the discoloration on my towels, the smell also disappeared. Now, towels that were once so stinky that the trash can seemed the most logical option smell like roses.
